Sometimes you watch a film and the only thing you can think is, wow, they're not even trying.

Special effects were pretty cool but the movie was an excellent example of plot convienence theater.

I think the character could be interesting, so if there's a different director and writer I might see the sequel, but the plot of the first movie? They just didn't even try to make any sense at all.

"Julia and the Pants Adventure would be a great name for a band."

Completely out of context quotes rock! Okay, how did it get so hot out? It's NOVEMBER. Did no one get that message? So i'm awake because I can't sleep anymore...'cause it's too hot to sleep. In Westchester. With my windows open. In November. There's something SO wrong about that statement.

Found this article through buzzflash.com (excellent site for all sorts of info).

Clinton speaks at Yale

I don't really care what anyone says about him, anyone who can say something like this could be my President again in like three seconds.

Clinton had special criticism for fundamentalists of every religious stripe who feel only they have the answers.

"Once you believe you have the absolute truth, then it’s not possible for everyone to count or for everyone to have a role," to play in the world, he said.

"There is a truth, life is a search for it, religion is a pathway to it, but we’re all imperfect and nobody has it," Clinton said.

Such a sad contrast.

Hey we have a new winner in "films that make Rachel sob like a baby in the theater"

The whole movie it's just kinda like, okay...and then there's this one scene and like WHAM. It just all comes together and it just like hit me REALLY REALLY hard. And I just burst into tears. The whole film was leading up to this one moment, in my mind, and it just really...yeah. Also I related to the main character in a way. It's a pretty interesting film, although some of the camera work really bothered me.

I went with my family and my mom was like "are you okay?" and I'm like "I'm fine, I'm fine", but you know, saying that when you're crying? It doesn't really work that well.

So yeah, that depressed me a lot for about an hour. Then I came home and read my LJ and [livejournal.com profile] mosinging1986 and [livejournal.com profile] shadowomega made me giggle hysterically. SilverAngstNeedleScene is just awesome. Thanks guys, I really really REALLY needed that.
