It's Thursday! Dentist day. Comically enough, what I was really afraid of wasn't the dentist but this movie I had to watch tonight in film class - more on that later.

I have the best dentist. Just had to say that. She actually takes the time to make sure you're numb and doesn't write off concerns. It wasn't a horrible experience, but I might have to get root canal, and that would be.

I got the lovely opportunity to feel half my left side go numb, not as bad as my friend who said she once had the whole side -- including her ear! -- go numb after too much novocaine. Tylenol is our friend.

And now the main event of the day -- the autopsy video. The video was by Stan Brakhage, a very well known avant-garde filmmaker. It was silent, but that only added to the...I don't know, there are no adjectives. That was probably the most graphic thing I've ever seen, by far. It it made HBO's autopsy show look like a kid's cartoon. Yet, it was really sad at the same time. While watching the film this thought came to mind: For XF fans out there, I now know why Mulder was never autopsied

After that, there was "John Carpenter's The Thing". Spoiled below.
