Tuesday TV

New 24 tonight! American Idol started its semi-finals and my roomie left for the night again. This was a good night.

1) American Idol -- I think I wanted to be deaf halfway through and then at certain points prayed for death. The "family" idea is the worst one in television history. It's like a talk show and when that guy's dad came on to defend his clothes, I almost cried. I hope the people are better next week. This week the standouts are Kim and Julia. I can't believe how much the boys sucked.

2) I just realized that the new love interest on Gilmore Girls played the evil!dad on 24 - I think.

3) 24 was on! 24 was on! EEEE!!!! The ads during American Idol made me too happy. Anyway. Kate is the biggest Mary Sue and I hope she goes away.

4) Today wasn't too bad actually. I go to a new therapist tomorrow. Is there anything worse than having to start over with a new therapist? It's like trying to make a new best friend who you tell everything to -- your whole life story -- for the umpteenth time.

I need to learn to sleep at night. Can't wait to go home home and see Gilmore Girls.

All of me...

Just saw "All of Me" for Genres of Affect. Tomorrow we're watching an autopsy video and "The Thing". Tommorrow's lesson is all about how comedy and horror treat the idea of body sharing.

I didn't wake up for my appointment this morning. If anyone was betting, you won. Stupid insomnia.

Pretty good day though, ran into some friends, including someone I haven't seen since the end of last semester. I hope I run into her again before the end of this one.

Saw my thesis advisor. She said she'll give me a recommendation for this internship I want to try out for -- I'm meeting someone on Friday to go over my resume. It's so hard to make a good resume, isn't it? This thesis is going to kick my ass. I just got that feeling.

Have to start watching post-pearl harbor films soon - any suggestions?
