I have a job! Sorta!
Nov. 15th, 2003 06:15 pmAfter the course, I'm standing and making an appointment for a road test. The woman in charge of the company asks me if I'm looking for part-time work. Apparently, the person they hired sorta, well, wasn't entirely responsible. So, I fill in an application quickly, she says okay we're trying you on a trial basis and I start monday. That's right, I'm working in an office again!! With paperwork! I'm so sad. I need to find my office clothes, or buy new ones because I think all my old ones are too big - ugh.
I work from 8am to 12pm -- *waves goodbye to late nights*.
Then I left after working an hour or two and went to a hair place and made an appointment to get my hair done. Talked to a woman about laser hair removal and it's *so* expensive - I mean 1800! But, in my case it's super necessary. Plus they said with my light skin and dark hair I'm an ideal candidate.
Not much else going on, could go next door but I'm feeling very anti-social lately.
Maybe I'll take a nap.

Date: 2003-11-15 06:53 pm (UTC)YOu may shave or use scisors to cut but as long as the hair is still in the root, you're fine.
The laser uses light to pinpoint dark hair -- the darker the better. I was getting AWFUL growth on my upperlip and chin and I do mean awful growth. I've been waxing since I was 14 (so over half my life). I noticed improvement after the first treatement. It usually takes 2-4 treatments to reduce it. I've had 3 and I don't notice any nasty growth! yay! :)
Anyways, it's a small pinch -- like a rubber band hitting your skin. My skin is highly sensitive and I was told there was going to be some blistering, minute, but stills ome. I didn't have any blistering surprisingly enough. My skin was pink though :)
I highly recommend this to anyone :)

Date: 2003-11-16 01:40 am (UTC)I still get hair but it' snot like what it was BY a long shot. I had a patch on my neck that was lasered once and hasn't been back ONCE. Same thing with the chin hair. Upper lip gets hair occassionally but it's mostly blonde and lighter in texture.
Do be warned that it's only guranteed for 75-85% removal. You will experience hair growth during the process, usually when the hair is in cycles. So if you do get new growth, don't freak out! :)
Also, any MAJOR hormonal changes will also knock it out of balance -- which is normal. IM me if you have any other questions :)
