Very random thought
Nov. 4th, 2003 01:27 pmSo, pretty much, all the new analysts seem to be around my age (or younger). I couldn't figure out why the total lack of diversity in age until I realized something -- post-9/11, government agencies started hiring people right out of college to do certain things, like computer work. So, it only makes sense in 24's world that most of the workers would be young because A) a lot of the other workers DIED last season -- not exactly a plus when recruiting and would probably make someone think twice about accepting the job and B) (and here's where I just make a random leap of logic) - the pay probably isn't so great. I'm really getting that from the fact that there's no funding for Michelle to have a job in VA, although one would wonder why counter-terrorism would be receiving LESS money. Then again, maybe they blew it on that spiffy new logo. I also noticed how many more people were there than last season, especially the new second level.
I think one of my favorite scenes in the ep from last week was Tony's conversation with Adam. You can just tell he's thinking 'I can't wait to get away from these crazy people'. Ah, poor Tony, went from professional but slightly odd people like Milo to snippy control freaks like Adam.
I do think that Adam and Chloe are going to get together later this season - LOL.
Y'know Michelle, you could just tell Tony the truth, you can't WAIT to get out of there. Especially since her job seems to be just walking around aimlessly and delegating responsibility. I'm still confused about exactly HOW Tony wound up in the conference room after walking in the completely opposite direction.
Fanwanking is fun!
