Okay, maybe not that long a time, but still, it's been a number of days. Not much news to report though, just a kind of boring list of things I've done lately - LOL.

Tried to get into see Hillary Clinton (who I really admire) when she was at Borders, but didn't know I had to get tickets. I should have called but thinking? me? never! But, in an "I always rely on the kindness of strangers" type way, someone took my book and got it signed for me! I have so much faith in humanity right now.

Still, I was really upset for not remembering to get tickets. So mental note, next time someone big comes to Borders, call up and ask about it first.

Anyway, went up to Beacon, NY today and saw the Dia museum, which is like 300,000 square feet of post-modern art. It was so nice to be outside today. It wasn't raining which was almost a surprise. I'm half expecting to see Noah come out and say hi one of these days. I saw some stuff at the museum I'd only seen slides of in class, and even knew some things about the artists. Went into this one thing by Richard Serra which were all these giant elliptical shapes with openings and other shapes inside. It's really impossible to explain. But, like soooo disorienting, it was like being on a spaceship or something - very tiny corridor, metal walls, yes I can't entirely explain it. But, it was something that anyone that lives near it should experience.

It was all lit with natural light, and really very peaceful inside if hot -- I consider walking around the musuem exercise really. I flirted with one of the staff, but found out he had a girlfriend, still, practice is always a good thing.

Tried this place called "planet wings" and it's this chain resturaunt that is only in NY right now, but should be *everywhere* they have amazing wings and sauces. Anyone near Nyack, Middletown, Beacon, etc should try to find a place, lol. I know to most people this is liike gibberish.

Almost finished with Prayers for Rain fifth book in the Dennis Lehane series that I'm adoring. I find that I'm channeling some of the characters, have to be careful *not* to write my stuff for [livejournal.com profile] 24rpg as the main character - LOL. Although, I have to admit, I am getting very inspired from it. I really like this book, it's better than Gone Baby Gone actually it'd make a kick ass movie.

I'm psyched cause Lost Boys is finally playing on tv. And I can tivo it! I love tivo. At work Friday, we had another new dog. So cute. And tonight, I came home and my neighbor's dog barked and ran over to me. I really miss having a dog.

I really need to get a Tony icon that's not soulpatchtastic.

Oh, and at work, we got this magazine delivered and it had an emmy ad for 24 on the cover and someone at work is like "Look Rachel," and holds it up. And kinda giggle. But I want that ad, LOL.

Is it third season yet? Icon from 24uk or ctunetwork.org -- can't remember. I need photoshop - LOL.

You can get photoshop, easy. Just download the trial version from Adobe, and then I'll give you the crack to make it into a full version. *G*
