catch22girl | I've always depended on the kindness of strangers

Got up early to go into NYC today with my mom and sis. Went to the Met and the Whitney. Got to eat lunch at the Museum Cafe at the Met. That was nice, great New England Clam Chowder. Great rolls too mmm...bread.

Saw an exhibit for a paper at the Whitney. Ryan McGinley's(I think that's his name, too tired to look at notes) photographs. They were really amazing large frame color photos of intimate and public moments. I highly recommend seeing them, because the way he uses light and focus are really great.

Had ice cream from a small chocolate shop on Madison. I love chocolate chip gelatto. Then, we went home, or rather, we tried to...cause and here's where the title of this entry makes sense -- the car started to swerve on the highway.

Someone was honking so we knew there was a problem. Then, we pulled over and saw that surprise - the left back tire was totally flat. The guy who honked though, stopped in front of us and helped us greatly when we really needed it. He actually changed the tire for us, because we totally fit the female stereotype, and are completely helpless when it comes to any kind of car problem (sidenote: we're not the only ones, my dad has no clue when it comes to car trouble). But, this guy was so nice! I really hope that wherever he is now, he had a great day and that something really wonderful happens to him in return.

It's moments like that which give me faith in humanity - yea humanity!

Sis had to have all four tires replaced and then we went to eat at a really nice Italian resturaunt with my dad. We had something called Zuppe di Pesce (linguine with seafood - basically) - but it was HUGE. And I mean, like, the leftovers had to fit into a lasange pan (yes THAT large). But so good and then we shared a slice of chocolate cake.

I came home and took a nap...which is why I'm up now. Grrr...stupid internal body clock.
