catch22girl | A long day

This was a long day. I woke up, had to wait for people to get out of the bathroom, get ready for class, and go and look at modern art for about an hour and a half. I feel bad that I'm not one of those people that loves post-world war II art. I just don't quite get it. I can't quite get over the impulse of "it's a line on a canvas" regardless of what Greenberg says.

I'm currently looking for a summer internship but of course none are up yet. I just know I might miss it again and then have to beg, borrow, steal (not really) to get one that I wind up hating instantly (re: last summer). I need to get on a film set, or a television set, either one will work. I need that hands on experience or I really fear what my future might hold. Or am I overreacting? Most likely I am, but still.

Went to film class, came back home. Somehow this day felt insanely long. There's something going around school so of course I got it. It's also freezing out, I was supposed to go print some things out but all I wanted to do was get into my warm apartment.

Darkness Falls is on -- so pro-environment, love it. Season one, there's really nothing like it. TNT always surprises me because they cut out ads and put them in elsewhere.

I was going to watch the State of the Union address but I'm not quite that big a glutton for punishment - plus, had nothing to drink. It's not really possible to be entirely sober after watching Dubya speak. Especially when it's about war and terrorism and everyone and their mother is cheering him for no reason at all.

I have to admit, I don't trust this administration and every day the newspaper is full of more bad news or half-truths. I will forever stand by my statement that he is not my president. Or as a button I have says "Come back Bill, all is forgiven."

In other news, Smallville was fun, it's too bad it's opposite 24. They need to spread shows out.
