The mice problem continues.

My dad doesn't understand why we've basically given the kitchen to the mice, but we don't know when they'll come out and the glue traps are even *more* frightening. Plus, they're vaguely cute.

Today was pretty good. Woke up around 1 pm, ran into the city with my mom to hear her friend at a book reading. We missed the reading 'cause all the streets to Union Square were totally shut off. Still, we managed to get there and she met her friend so that was good. Oooh and I got tasti d-lite (I think that's how you spell it). Low-cal ice cream? I'm so there.

I also got a new book for my thesis about hollywood in WWII, all the back-door dealings and all that jazz.

Saw the war protesters, liked the signs. It felt good to see people trying to uphold democracy. I have to say, this was not the normal protest crowd at all. There was also a *huge* police presence and helicopters.

Heard on the news later that like 50 people or more had been arrested, sad.

Ate at Abatino's, feel like I might explode - their rolls are WAY too good.

Now about to watch 8 Mile...you better lose yourself in the music and stuff.

Finally, YKYAXPW...my mom's friend wrote a kid's book, and I took one look at the photo of her on the inside back cover and thought, wow, she looks just like a young GA. It was almost uncanny -- but only in the picture.
