Quick thoughts
Mar. 16th, 2003 11:34 pmWhat Not to Wear is such an evil show. TLC keeps taking all these english shows and making them a half-hour longer.
I keep seeing all these ads for Phone Booth...I'm like oh, the voice! So yeah, I'm seeing that ;)
I also caught Young Guns Friday night...stayed up till 6 am to see it all. Such Cuteness...and he's a poet, not a fighter :)
Rewatched 1-2 and 2-3am. I miss Nina so much. I still have to say, poor Janet.
Caught the Christmas-time episode of So Graham Norton, was hoping to get the recent GA one but was VERY happy to see that the Kiefer one was on! That was a real nice stroke of luck.
In health news, I'm hanging in there, will feel better if I know exactly what's wrong -- the doctor's thinkin' fibromylagia, but I'll be sure to share when I find out.
NYCgirls: When I get better, I'm so coming into NYC to see you guys :)
Finally, Bush, Blair and some other people are in the middle of the Atlantic...why can't they take a three hour tour?'
Palmer in 2004 baby! Hence, new icon from www.24uk.com

Date: 2003-03-16 09:59 pm (UTC)Man, my bud, my mom and I caught Our Town while on Spring Break... it was a riot. Oh to catch reruns more than once a month or so! Darn college.
But it's in moments like that where I realize just how much I miss it all.
Now back to Social Theory...

Date: 2003-03-17 11:01 am (UTC)hehe, Our Town rocked. I caught Mind's Eye a week or two ago, so comforting in a sick sad way.
I wonder what it says about me that my comfort shows are 24 and XF :)

Date: 2003-03-17 06:26 pm (UTC)Yes S9 was bad, but I mean, we all know the unavoidable reasons why and the mistakes they made and the thousands of things that just screwed S8 & S9 at all levels...
And I have this ongoing pet theory that nearly all Sci-Fi shows seem to end badly and irritate the heck out of the fans... Or at least just the majority of them in recent years.
Hey, at least we got the run we did and thank god, because I'm glad I got to be a part of it and meet the people I did. : )

Date: 2003-03-17 07:09 pm (UTC)I agree, and they've been discussed and debated ad nauseum. Sometimes I wonder what it would have been like to watch 7/8/9 without knowing any of the behind the scenes backstory stuff. I'm so happy I no longer have to debate -- lol.

Date: 2003-03-17 07:53 pm (UTC)Heh, and in comparison, XF didn't go down quite so badly, ROTFL...

Date: 2003-03-18 12:58 am (UTC)Although XF didn't end badly as much as it just...wasted a LOT of possibilities and time.
It took me a few months to get over my fear of watching a new show and worrying about it ending badly.
Hear that 24? Dead Zone? Good, just checking.

Date: 2003-03-16 11:22 pm (UTC)Hee. Same here.
A combination of that ad(ooh!), the Miller one(grr.), and my new Freeway DVD(yeee!) has shaped this weekend out to be a Kiefer one.
Mmm.

Date: 2003-03-17 11:06 am (UTC)Freeway is the little red riding hood movie, right? OR am I thinkin' of something else?

Date: 2003-03-17 03:46 pm (UTC)I've seen a couple where people are in clubs, and looking at men and women trying to pick the person right for them. It's odd.
Freeway is the little red riding hood movie, right? OR am I thinkin' of something else?
Yep. The very one. I loved this movie before I was into Kiefer(heh), and it is now five times funnier to watch, considering Jack. Bob Wolverton walks like a big old nerd.

Date: 2003-03-17 07:05 pm (UTC)Doesn't he also get like...increasingly hurt and beaten? Or am I thinking of something else entirely?

Date: 2003-03-17 11:15 pm (UTC)I do have to agree with that. While good, it's also disturbing. It's one of those movies I like irrationally. What can I say? :)
Doesn't he also get like...increasingly hurt and beaten? Or am I thinking of something else entirely?
Yep. First he gets shot, then beaten up, then... Yeah. They messed him up. It's not a good movie if you're into the, "Ooh! Kiefer! *slurp*" factor, but he does do a great job acting. There is not one trace of what could have been Jack Bauer in it, and that's lovely. That talented little man... :-D

Date: 2003-03-18 12:53 am (UTC)I need to rewatch that movie...or maybe not. I got this really terrible habit where once I categorize someone as a hero it's hard for me to accept them as a bad guy. Yeah, not that slurpy, not to say that someone getting shot and beaten up can't be...*evil grin*. Talented ::sigh::

Exactly. It just didn't work in this instance, for me. Speaking of it working in an instance, when is 24 going to be baaaack? Wahhhh. Stupid Fox.

Date: 2003-03-17 11:21 am (UTC)Oh and I saw the preview of Phone Booth in the theatre and after I heard the voice I went to find a poster in the theatre to verify my suspicion (before I left the theatre cuz well it couldn't wait!).

LOL, my sister didn't believe me...I'm like, does anyone else sound like him? No, didn't think so.
