So I tried to sleep last night, but my stomach hurt and I felt sorta ill so i had to eat something around 4 am. Since I was up and there was a TV RIGHT in front of me. I thought, oh, I'll start rewatching 24.

Was that vague enough? lol. And I even took notes when watching. Geek thy name is Rachel. So, in light of learning that Jack/Tony/Gael were working together to get Jack back undercover with the Salazars I rewatched the first and third episodes (the second one was accidentally deleted from TiVo).

It suddenly hit me that the virus that was delivered was the same one that Dr. Macer had been running simulations on...AND when she called Tony she said it was the one she mentioned at the conference "last month". I think this fact is going to wind up being important. I got a feeling that this information which was entirely skipped over when I first watched the episode is going to explain the entire plan. Sort of. Also, I'm thinking that maybe Hector didn't infect the people himself but rather these bodies were "given" to him. It's a possibility.

Something else I noticed is how Jack and Tony are trying to keep people away from talking to Ramon. After the lawyer's death, Jack immediately calls Tony to ask if anything's happening there (this always seemed like a kind of leap of logic). Then, Jack tells Luis that questioning Ramon is useless, without even trying and later in the meeting with Tony that point is reiterated. But why bring it up? Because neither Jack or Tony want anyone talking to Ramon.

Jack's the one who says that the ID is all important, he's the one who says that Hector is probably behind it -- but how much of what he says is actually true? It also makes me think maybe he knew about Kim and Chase, but this was a nice convienent way to keep Chase out of his plans.

The latest revelation also explains that nagging problem with his extreme guilt over Luis' death (the first few times I thought it was withdrawl, but now I think it was guilt). If this entire escape was orchestrated to A) free Ramon and B) put Jack undercover and Ramon took the opportunity to kill off someone who might be chasing him...well, that guilt makes more sense now.

Another interesting thing I noticed was when Adam was trying to get the info. about the virus and Tony said that it didn't matter, that the team didn't need all the facts. Tony also doesn't want LAPD to pick up Kyle, giving an excuse about them not being qualified. In this scene I also think, through editing, that Tony and Gael have a 'look'.

I think that Gael was working to make Hector think that the virus was in the bag or the kid. But, it never was. I fast forwarded through Kyle's parts because they seem almost entirely extraneous to the story now.

Oh, also noticed something else. In the scene on the highway when Jack's about to shoot up he looks at his watch and presses buttons. It makes me wonder if maybe there was a kind of 'countdown' there and he was mentally figuring if he had enough time between 'now' and 'then' to get high and come down.

Also, the car scene with Nicole telling him he'd better not screw this up has all different levels of meaning now. I love this show.

So I didn't go to doctor's today either, hopefully he realized Iw asn't going to show and won't charge me another 150 I do NOT have. And work called and I want to just quit because my brain just can't handle learning Insurance right now. I was so tired when I talked to the person on the phone.

Over and out.

Aw, man, it's going to be Tuesday again! I had meant to borrow my sister's tape of the first 5 eps to rewatch, since the VCR ate mine. Thanks for the reminder.
