Well they're well written stories. Fic exists outside CANON mostly, with a few exceptions. After all, if something was gonna happen on a show, why write about it?

I think that everyone has a different view of characters anyway. I mean things that would ever happen. Like, all the possible things that would ever happen to characters on a show and fic usually but not always steps outside that to give a slightly different take on things.
It isn't the situations I have a problem with. It's the people who have such a poor grasp of character, that it's just an exercise in offensive futility. The only thing some of these characters have in common with their screen counterparts is the name.
