My friend and I love to mock bad writing. Here's a review of a book that I can't quite believe exists.

Terrible book, hysterical review.

The book is apparently just horrific to read, only the review is funny. But yes, read, read and laugh.

My good friend [livejournal.com profile] vanityfair and I once had an experience with a terrible book....now, keep in mind, the book wasn't actually published, so it wasn't precisely fair. But it was to-be-published, according to the author, who had a finished manuscript.

Aja (vanityfair) was known to hang out on Christian fiction message boards before she was brainwashed by the gay conspiracy and became one of us (carcasm rules). On one of these message boards she found 'Susette,' a writer who wanted to publish her Christian romance, 'More than a Cook'.

When I first visited Aja in 2001 (two days after September 11, but that'sso impertinent it hurts that I felt the need to mention it), the first thing she did was say "we have to bond over Susette".

This book is so bad that to read it is not good enough. You have to aseemble friends and have live reading parties over Susette. After you get over the gaping and awe and "this is so horrific oh my god if you are loving take my life NOW," you just start laughing hysterically.

So anyway...don't know why I mentioned that, but just know, if we ever meet in real life, we'll bond over Susette. Since I now know you appreciate things that are hysterically awful.
