Application is DONE and handed in, and paid for, and is DONE. Did I mention done? I didn't get to drink tonight, which is okay cause I'm so exhausted right now that if I had drunk anything (and I had a LOT of caffeine - mmmm mangoceylon tea!) I'd probably have collapsed somewhere on the stairs.

Heard some cool bands at school, that's one upside to going to a school with a music conservatory, people are REALLY REALLY talented. I also played Tetris -- the arcade version -- and it's so much harder in some ways than the computer or nintendo one.

Random 80s memory: Anyone else remember the 'we're gonna make you excercise' nintendo game pad? Yeah...that just didn't get all that far.

Pretty amazing thing: I saw two deer on the cab ride home. They were standing right on the side of the road and it was such a beautiful moment, in an odd way. I always forget how close nature REALLY is.

It was fun getting to hang out with [livejournal.com profile] maverickgirl5. It's so sad it's taken me till early November to get my schedule in order. Sad. Sad. Sad.

There's this room of books at the student center at school and I found this book about how Hawaii and the midwest were going to be reclaimed by the oceans in the years between 1990 and 2000 - yeah there's a danger to predicting things - really. LOL. Other things were supposed to have happened too - but dude, not even CLOSE.

Get to see Paradise Found tomorrow -- oh dear god...Kiefer with an accent. I think I just died.

Oh other quick question: anyone else find themselves an accidental missionary for things they're addicted to?

Look -- butterflies! From Costa Rica! (I actually went to a butterfly sanctuary there, but the butterflies were mostly sleeping so we got only to see a few)

Stained glass

and this is one found on a random website. But nicely pictured. Monarch

Stuffed animal comes to life and spies on country. Police and CIA do nothing.

Ginger's CIA Adventures

No wonder why security sucks on 24...really.

Saw Mystic River with [livejournal.com profile] thriftygoddess today. I really wish I read the book so I could compare it a bit more - just because I *love* Dennis Lehane. However, here's my quick review.

Was it good? Yes. Would I name a kid after it? Not so much. - SPOILERS )

For anyone who hasn't seen the movie - go see it - it wants to break your heart but it does so in a really fantastic matter.
