As I said earlier, my router blew a few days ago and I went to CompUSA and got a new one along with a lovely suite of pc management software (helllooo uninstall1). Now, I just realized WHY the router blew -- the guy on the phone said to disconnect both of them from the power (modem and router) and I did and then I proceeded to SWITCH the plugs. That's right, my modem is running with the router's adaptor right now. This means, that when I gave CompUSA back what I thought was the router's adaptor it was REALLY the modem's A/C adaptor. So no wonder the router couldn't handle the same amount of watts that the modem could! D'oh.

so that's my application for stupid thing done lately.

Saw School of Rock those kids are so freakin' amazing, I have no talent at all compared to them in like, anything. Very depressing in a way really.

Ohhh...rewatched 24 12pm-4pm today. If that's not sex, I don't know what is. Cut for random thoughts.

He's a little crazy but he gets the job done. )

Listening to WFUV tonight. Heard the song "Outside of A Small Circle of Friends" by Phil Ochs.

It's really worth reading the words -- and if you can find it, listening to the song.

It's frightening how much of it is still true and topical.

BANGKOK, Thailand (Oct. 19) - President Bush on Sunday rejected North Korea's demand that the United States sign a formal non-aggression treaty in exchange for nuclear concessions. But he and China's leader held out the possibility they and other nations might offer North Korea some written security assurance.

Yeah, so he expects N. Korea to just give up their nuclear program without any treaties saying that the US won't decide to invade them for the hell of it?

I can see why people should say they're Canadian when travelling.

Oh, did I ever tell the story about the nice Vancouverites that basically saved me and my friends when we were in Costa Rica? They rescued us from a frightening cab driver who wanted more money than we had, took us into town to get to the ATM and then drove us to our hotel which was miles from town. So, yes, go Canada!

Wow that Phil Ochs song really got to me. It's been running through my head all day. Somehow I think it would make a great song in a film. Like, there's something about the tune - very catchy but the words say so much.
