Evil Fic Ideas Go Away

Several evil fic ideas have set up residence in my head. Back I say, Back! I will not share because they are even more frightening and wrong than usual. And not in a good way.

Saw Nowhere in Africa -- wow. I'm convinced that some foreign movies are *much* better than US ones. It's brilliant, everyone should go see it. It shows a side of the Holocaust that I'd rarely seen in film. I really need to see The Pianist but I haven't been feeling mentally healthy enough to put myself through it.

Took a trip up to see a possible family vacation/retirement place. Dad is looking for some sort of ideal imagined community though. Sort of like the small towns in movies and television shows. Plus, the nonmoney thing.

NYT amused me today. Had an article about how Bush was really interested in the war and the daily briefings. I'm not sure why that's news.

Oh, saw a singer called Mary Gauthier last night. She's amazing. Her songs are like hello angst.

Just watched some rodeo, I'm impressed that people can jump off horses and wrestle steers to the ground in like less than four seconds.

Some of those cowboys were *really* cute too :) Yeah, I 'll admit it, I think they're sexy.

In other news - paper is finished! Might post it here if anyone wants to read it :)
