Personal Ads

I think I'll learn eventually that personal ads online don't work. They're like the modern equivalent of fad diets or get rich quick schemes. Come to emode, come to televisionwithoutpity, come to nerve and meet the man/woman/thing of your dreams!

I forgot to mention aol too. What happened to the good ole days when you could meet someone in real life and fall in love, or at least fall in lust for a few days. It's a sign of the times that we're so disconnected as a culture that people have to meet through electronic devices. Things that used to be considered marginal are now the height of coolness. At least, not something you hide at the bottom of your drawer.

I'm learning to get over the fear of actually admitting my geekier side to people. It's liberating. I went to emode today and took a lot of those self discovery quizzes. Apparently, I'm curious (my ink blot said so), left brained, and my breed of dog is a Bernese mountain dog - they're cute. It's like the old "Learn about you!" quizzes in the special issues of YM. We're really a generation searching for any kind of clue.
